About me
Hi, I'm Ambre, a native French speaker from France, passionate about languages, literature, culture and, most of all, sharing what I love with others.
My background is a little different from that of a traditional language teacher. I studied French and English literature, culture and society, and I also spent several years working as a florist.
During that time, I had the opportunity to lead creative workshops for people of all ages. Teaching through creativity taught me something I now bring into my French lessons: learning works best when you feel comfortable, curious and involved.
That's why I don't want my lessons to feel like another school assignment. My goal is to create a calm and encouraging space where you can speak, make mistakes, ask questions and gradually become more comfortable in French.
My lessons are personalised around your level, interests and goals. We can work on everyday conversation, pronunciation, grammar and vocabulary, but also explore French culture, films, literature, music, art, food, everyday life or anything that makes you curious about France.
I particularly enjoy working with teenagers and young adults, and I love finding creative ways to make French feel natural and relevant to them. I also work with beginners who may feel a little nervous about speaking a new language: there is no need to know everything before you start.
As I'm fluent in English, I can also explain difficult points in English when needed, while gradually helping you feel more confident using French.
For me, the most important part of learning a language is not how quickly you become perfect, but how comfortable you become being yourself in it. I want my students to have a space where they feel listened to, never judged, and free to make mistakes.
Because confidence doesn't come from never making mistakes. It comes from realising that you can make them and still keep speaking.
